Can you see my medal? I am made up, it is my largest medal and second since I started running. The first was my couch to 5k medal.
One of my symptoms with my depression is insomnia and where the depression is at it’s worst so is the insomnia. It gets to the point where I dread night time coming. If I could just sleep, then great but sadly not.
Time for another update. Today was quite a daunting day. I had a new experience with visiting Job center plus to sign up for Job Seekers Allowance and to seek further help on offer. I this afternoon had another doctors appointment.
There has been a lot of positive feedback, comments on here, Facebook and from people in person. Only this Thursday just gone while at Sleaford Striders running club, I had a lovely gentleman come up to me and compliment the blog. In this case he had seen my article on running and depression.
You don’t suffer with an illness without doing research into it and while I was doing exactly that I came across a list of foods which are good for depression. These foods won’t cure depression but they will help promote a healthy diet. Last year I did a brief nutrition course (I’m not a nutritionist) and one of things I learn’t is how the gut can affect the mind. In other words if you are on a unhealthy diet then your mind and brain function will be affected.
