At the start of 2018, I applied for the ballot to be able to run in this year Great North Run. I was lucky enough to be selected. Knowing that there would be over 50,000 runners, this would be a great opportunity to make a stand against the social anxiety which had crippled me in the past.
As you may know by now, I did it! it was not easy and the run itself was hard but I completed it with great joy and now, I am happy to say, I will be back in 2019. This time, I will not be taking a ballot place but instead a charity place. I will be running for the ‘Samaritans’ hoping to raise over £400.
Fundraising will commence in the spring 2019 and updates will start then.
